Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Flowd when you use our website and app. Please read it carefully.

Last updated: August 16, 2026 Governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada

Questions about these terms? Write to us at support@flowd.ca. We are happy to explain anything in plain language.

Welcome to Flowd. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Flowd website, applications, and services (together, the "Service"), operated by Flowd from Toronto, Ontario. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Flowd, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence and capable of forming a binding contract to use Flowd. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individuals in Canada.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide and for activity that happens under your account.

  • Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for the statements and documents you upload and your right to upload them.

4. Statements and your data

Flowd works by reading the bank and credit-card statements you choose to upload. We never ask for your banking login or credentials, and we do not connect to your bank on your behalf.

You retain ownership of the documents and financial information you upload. You grant Flowd a limited licence to process this information solely to provide the Service to you, for example to categorize transactions, calculate balances, and generate insights. How we handle this data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

When using Flowd, you agree not to:

  • Upload documents you do not have the right to use, or that belong to someone else without permission.
  • Attempt to access other users' data or disrupt the Service's security or infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.

6. Plans and billing

Flowd is offered as a single paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis, weekly or monthly, at the price shown at checkout, in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes.

  • Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice. Changes apply to the next billing cycle.

7. Founding member offer

Before Flowd opens to the public we are offering one hundred founding memberships to people who joined the waitlist. This section sets out how that offer works. It applies only to the founding offer, and section 6 covers everything else about plans and billing.

  • How spots are offered. Founding spots are offered in the order people joined the waitlist. When your spot is available we will email you, and you will have seven days to claim it. If you do not claim it within that time the spot passes to the next person on the list, and you keep your place for general access.
  • What it costs. $7.49 CAD per month for the first twelve months, half the regular $14.99 CAD per month, plus applicable taxes. After twelve months the subscription continues at the regular price in effect at that time, and we will tell you before that happens.
  • When the twelve months start. From your first payment, not from launch day. Every founding member gets a full twelve months at the founding price, whenever they start.
  • The offer does not expire. If launch takes longer than expected, the founding price still stands for people who were on the waitlist when Flowd opens.
  • Spots are personal. A founding spot belongs to the person it is offered to. It cannot be sold, transferred, or given to anyone else.
  • Joining the waitlist is free and costs you nothing. It does not create an account, and it does not create any obligation to pay. Being on the waitlist puts you in line for a founding spot, but it is not a guarantee of one, because there are one hundred spots and the list may be longer than that.
  • If we do not launch. If we decide not to launch Flowd, we will tell everyone on the waitlist and delete the list. Nobody is charged anything unless they claim a founding spot and choose to subscribe.

8. Not financial advice

Flowd is an informational tool. The summaries, categories, projections, and insights it produces, including the "What if" calculator, are for general guidance only and may contain inaccuracies. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and should not be relied on as such. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that categorizations and calculations will be complete or accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Flowd and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Canadian law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Flowd and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to Flowd. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Data handling after termination is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, for example by posting the updated Terms with a new "last updated" date or notifying you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Ontario will have jurisdiction over any disputes, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under consumer-protection law in your home province or territory.
